Bluegrass Chapter of the Kentucky Mountain Bike Association (KYMBABG) has been awarded a Trail Accelerator Grant (TAG) from the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) to support the planning and design of the Madison County Adventure Trails in Richmond (MadCATR), located within the Richmond Regional Sports Complex. When completed, the Madison County Adventure Trails will not only be able to host Kentucky Interscholastic Cycling League (KICL) middle and high school mountain bike races, but will also provide year-round opportunities for families, beginner riders, adaptive users, and advanced mountain bikers.
Sharing info at Tasty Tuesday!
With our county-wide focus, we've updated our logo -- keeping the Riney B name as it reminds us that rights of way (land) is necessary to establish trails. While we'd love too establish a rail-trail along the historic Riney B, that land is not available to us. We hope to honor the spirit of Riney B while pursuing accessible land to develop multiuse paths!

2025 April: Updated our by-laws to add a Berea appointed rep and expand our focus to the entire county. Matthew Thomas has been appointed by Berea Mayor Fraley. In addition, we added Alex Sipple as an elected board member to reflect our broadened scope.
Met runners, bikers, and one wheelers who would love to have paths available in the county! Most folks knew about Berea's Silver Creek and multiuse paths and were excited about the paths and MTB facilities that we'll have at Richmond Regional Sports Park. Amy also did some recruiting for 5th-12th graders for the Mad Hatters NICA team!

It was a chilly night but we had a fun time participating in the parade along with the Mad Hatters (Madison County Composite XCountry Mountain Bike Team - NICA) and Get Outside KY!
Mike and Suzanne's cool train!
Andrew used the graphics created by Tim to develop this wood sign. As we establish paths, our goal is to use similar signage to brand our efforts.
